Abstract: Canine parvovirus (CPV), one of the most important pathogen with a characteristic of a high infection rate, acute onset, short duration and high mortality rate, severely restrict the development of wildlife domestication and breeding industry. Along with the high variation rate of CPV, the host range covers more and more species including foxes, dogs, wolves as well as cats, leopards, bears, tigers, civet cats and so on. And this organism significantly influences the wildlife conservation, domestication, breeding and disease surveillance. The current study summarized the diagnosis and prevention methods of CPV related disease in order to provide scientific evidence for the further prevention and control.
