Abstract:The polymorphism of 35 microsatellites in the two miniature pig breeds in China (Guizfhou miniature pig, Guangxi Bama niniature pig) was analysed. Mean heterozygosity, polymorphism in formation content for each breeds, and genetic distances between two breeds were estimated. The results suggest that both polymorphism information content and mean heterozygosity in the two breeds are low. Mean effective number of alleles is similar to observed number of alleles, suggesting that both breeds have stable heredity. There is a close genetic relationship between Guizhou miniature pig and Guangxi Bama miniature pig, and both Guizhou and Guangxi Bama miniature pig have been two different closed colony animals.
