Anaesthesia Research in Process of Experiment of Porcine Traumatic Skin Defect and Repair

Abstract:Objective To explore a kind of method which is suitable for the experiment of making the model of porcine traumatic skin defect and repair. Methods The experiment divided into two parts. The first part was the anaesthesia in the operation of making the model of porcine traumatic skin defect and repair. 14 piglets were divided into three groups at random. Group 1: Adopting the trachea intubate assist breath with breathing machine, and compound anaesthesia with katamine hydrochloride, valium, fentanyl citrate; Group 2: Injection of katamine hydrochloride into muscle and chloral hydrate drip by vein; Group 3: Injection of katamine hydrochloride into muscle and pentobarbitital sodium into abdominal cavity. The second part was the anaesthesia in the process of change dressings. 64 times change dressings were divided into three groups: Group 1: Injection of katamine hydrochloride simply; Group 2: Injection of pentobarbitital sodium into abdominal cavity simply; Group 3: Injection of katamine hydrochloride and pentobarbitital sodium into muscle. The time showing effect, maintain time, frequence of respiration and heartbeat and anaesthetic effect were observed and analysed among the groups. Results In part 1, The result showed that the anaesthetic effect of Group 1 was the best, the time showing effect was the shortest, the maintain time control easily and also it was the most safety one in the Group 1. In part 2, the time showing effect and the maintain time were shorter and the anaesthetic effect was the best in the Group 3. In addition, the animal was apt to revive in the Group 3. Conclusion Compound anaesthesia with katamine hydrochloride, valium, fentanyl citrate and adopting the trachea intubate assist breath with breathing machine is an effective and safe method in the operation of making the model of porcine skin traumatic defect and repair. The anaesthesia which injection of katamine hydrochloride and pentobarbitital sodium into muscle is a better method in the process of change dressings.
