Development of Chinese Traditional Medicine and Conservation of Endangered Medical Wildlife

Abstract:Chinese medicine is an important part of China’s traditional culture, which has been greatly contributing to Chinese nationalities. It is confronted with many opportunities and pressure from conservation of endangered medical wildlife. In the paper, current status of Chinese medical wildlife resources is briefly introduced, and caused resulting in wild animals in danger are also analyzed. Sustainable utilization should be a basic principle for Chinese traditional medicine development. Several measures are put forward to harmonize the relationship between Chinese traditional medicine development and endangered medical wildlife conservation.
