Abstract:Bird calls become hotspot in mitigating the conflicts between birds and humans, especially in agriculture and civil aviation. The study was conducted by recording and analyzing normal calls and scared calls of Pica pica and Cyanopica cyana, and normal calls of Accipiter gentilis in Beijing. The acoustic characteristics of all the records were measured in duration of syllable (Ds), frequency of the highest power peak (Fhp), fundamental frequency (Ff), number of syllables in verse (Ns.v) and verse type. The structure of all the verses is simply formed with repeat syllables. The results will be useful in giving suggestions on utilizing the calls and promoting the effects, so that to facilitate the comprehensive control and application on conflicts between birds and humans.
