The Chinese Endemic Snake Resources and Proposals to Protection

Abstract:

The status of Chinese endemic snakes was briefly summarized in this paper. 54 species distributed in most parts of China, and four critically endangered among the 54 species distributed in Hong kong, Tibet (Western Sichuan and Xizang ) , Hunan and Liaoning respectively, which are Typhlops lazelli, Thermophis bailey, Zhaoermia mangshanensis and Gloydius shedaoensis. A detailed discussion was presented on their current status and threaten factors. In addition, proposals related to Chinese endemic snake protection was shown for future conservation management and action.
