Study on Single and Binary-combined Toxicity of Carbendazim and Trichlorphon to Earthworms

Abstract:Through the filter paper contact method, this paper researched single and combined toxicity of Carbendazim and Trichlorphon, which were widely used in surrounding areas of Chifeng, to earthworms. The results of single toxicity test revealed that earthworms showed different symptoms and mortalities when earthworms were treated with the two pesticides respectively. Trichlorphon was more poisonous to earthworms than Carbendazim, and the median lethal concentrations of Carbendazim and Trichlorphon were 1.2795 g·L-1 and 0.0511 g·L-1 at 48 h respectively. The results of the combined toxicity test showed that toxicity decreased when the two pesticides were combined, that was, the combined effect of Carbendazim and Trichlorphon were antangonistic.
