Acute Toxicity of Five Aquacultural Chemicals towards Fingerlings of Ancherythrpterus nigrocauda

This paper reports the susceptibility ofAncherythroculter nigrocauda to five medicines including cupric sulphate & ferrous sulphate (ratio 5:2), potassium permanganate, trichlorphon, strong-chloride and bromochloropropene in tanks with static water. The results show that a safe concentration of potassium permanganate was 0.738 mg/L and had the lowest toxicity to A. nigrocauda, but a safe concentration of bromochloropropene was 0.0033 mg/L and had the highest toxicity to A. nigrocauda. The susceptibility of A. nigrocauda to the five medicines is in the order ofBromochloropropene> strong-chloride> trichlorphon> cupric sulphate & ferrous sulphate (ratio 5:2)> potassium permanganate.
