Preliminary Research on Insects Biodiversity in Wanglang National Nature Reserve

Abstract: 5 different habitats were chosen as monitoring sites in Wanglang National Nature Reserve, according to vegetation and elevation. 24 876 insects were collected in July, August, October 2007, and April 2008. There were about 1000 species belonging to 7 families of 3 orders, of which, Geometridae accounted for 69.51%, Noctuidae 23.23%, Ichneumonidae 5.03%, Carabidae 1.9%, and 0.33% to others. Based on the statistic on species richness(S), biodiversity(H), and evenness index(J), biodiversity of monitoring objects were found taking on different trends along the time and space changing.
