Planococcus japonicus Cox (Hemiptera: Coccoidea: Pseudococcidae),A Newly Recorded Mealybug in Yunnan, China

Abstract:Planococcus japonicus Cox, 1989 is an azalea pest and has been already recorded in India, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and the United States. Recent years, it was discovered in Yunnan Province on Celtis sp. and Osmanthus fragrans. In this paper, identified characters, host plants, distribution and economic importance are introduced to make it convenient for identification.
