Abstract:This paper deals with the results of the investigation on the karyotypes and Ag-NORs of three allopatrically distributed populations of Bufo raddei in Beijing, Henan and Anhui. The chromosome number among the three populations was 2n=22, and all of the chromosomes were characterized by six pairs of macrochromosomes and five pairs of microchromosomes. But some dissimilarities were found among the populations. First, the number and sequence of submetacentric chromosome were different among them, and then the secondary constriction(SC) or satellite(Sat.), and Ag-NORs were also different. Aanalysis and discussion about these differences are made, also the development of the Bufo karyotypes in the future is viewed.
