Diversity and Distribution of Amphibians in Micangshan National Nature Reserve, Sichuan

Abstract:By using line transects without distance estimates method and interview method, the diversity and distribution of amphibian resources were studied in Micangshan National Nature Reserve, Sichuan during March to June, 2017. There were 24 species, including 19 collected species and 5 recorded species in this region. The identified amphibian belonged to 16 genera, 8 families and 2 orders, and 13 species were endemic to China. The analytical results indicated that 18 species belonged to the Oriental realm, and 6 were wide-spread species. Pseudohynobius tsinpaensis and Rhacophorus hongchibaensis were the 2 new records in the reserve. The variation trends of species richness index, Shannon-Wiener's diversity index, Pielou's evenness index and ecological dominance index within the 4 sites were almost the same:Mengzi > Qilixia > Shiziba > Jinchangba. The result suggested that the species number in aquatic and running water among the 6 habitat types was the highest.
