The Spatial Learning and Memory Function were Reduced in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Mice

Abstract:Objective To analysis the differences of spatial learning and memory function between chronic fatigue syndrome and normal mice. Methods The chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) mice was first established by compound stimulus method, and then the differences of spatial learning and memory function between chronic fatigue syndrome and normal mice were explored using Morris water maze test. Results The time of latency, path length, average swim speed and percent time in target quadrant for searching hidden platform were significantly decreased in CFS mice compared with the normal group (P<0.05). The normal mice adopt spatial strategy to find the hidden platform, while the CFS mice will adopt a repetitive looping strategy. Conclusion The spatial learning and memory function was decreased in CFS mice compared with the normal mice.
