Ganoderma lucidum Extract can Resist Skin Tissue Senility

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect and mechanism of Ganoderma lucidum extract on resisting the skin tissue senility of D-galactose caused mice subacute senility. Methods The mice models with D-galactose caused subacute senility were smeared with G. lucidum extract on their backs. The contents of superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), lipofuscin (LF) and hydroxyproline in the skin tissue homogenates from the mice back were then examined after 42 days. Results G. lucidum extract could obviously enhance the skin SOD activity of the subacute senile mice, decrease MDA and LF content, and increase the hydroxyproline amount. Conclusion G. lucidum extract can effectively resist the skin senility of D-galactose caused the mice subacute senility.
