Isolation, Identification and Antimicrobial Sensitivity of Pathogen from Brachymystax lenok with Septicemia

Abstract:A pathogenic bacterium was isolated from 21 diseased Brachymystax lenok. Through morphological, biochemical identification and 16S rDNA sequence analysis as well as animal experiments, the bacterium was identified as Aeromonas hydrophila. Drug susceptibility test of 26 kinds of drugs showed that, the strain was sensitive to 10 kinds of antibiotics including ampicillin, cefuroxime sodium, kanamycin, etc., moderately sensitive to carbenicillin, cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin, neomycin, etc., but resistant to 7 kinds of antibiotics including spectinomycin, norfloxacin and tetracycline, etc. The results provided a basis for bacterial diseases surveillance of B. lenok.
