Two New Records of Amphibia from Tibet, China, with Description of Rhacophorus burmanus

Abstract:Two new records of Amphibia from Tibet, China were reported. Nanorana rostandi(Dubois, 1974) (Dicroglossidae), collected from Gyirong (Jilong) valley, southern slope of the middle Himalayas, was the first record of this species in China. Nanorana pleskei Güther, 1896, collected from Jomda (Jiangda), eastern Tibet, was the first record of this species in Tibet. Furthermore, the first detailed description of Rhacophorus burmanus (Andersson, 1939) (Rhacophoridae) from Medog (Motuo) of southeastern Tibet, China, was provided, which was previously reported from Yunnan as the new species R. gongshanensis Yang and Su, 1984.
