A New Species of Longitrema Parasitizing in Bat (Trematoda:Lecithodendriidae)

A new species of Longitrema was found in the small intestine of bat, Myotis ricketti, collected from Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province, China. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Hangzhou Normal College.

The new species resembles Longitrema piriforme (Yamaguti, 1939) Chen, 1954, but differs from the latter in: (1) Smaller body size, (2) testes larger than acetabulum, (3) ratio of oral sucker and acetabulum about 1.57:1, (4) ovary behind fasle cirrus sac, (5) small eggs.
