Abstract:
In the present paper 34 species of digenetic trematodes of fishes from Sichuan Province and 40 new host records are listed. Besides, a new species is described. Type specimens are deposited in the Department of Veterinary Science, Sichuan Agricultural University.
Allocreadium qianweiensis sp. nov. (Fig.)
The description is based on 8 specimens from the intestine of Hemiculter nigromarginis in Qianwei County (29º15´N, 103º47´E). The new species similar to Allocreadium conicum Wang, 1985, A. erythroculteris (Achmerov, 1960) (Syn. A. maculate Achmerov, 1963) and A. hypophthalmichthydis (Achmerov, 1960). It differs from A. conicum in body smaller, esophagus longer, acetabulum subequal to oral sucker, ovary distinctly smaller than testes, eggs fewer. It differs from A. erythroculteris in body smaller; acetabulum subequal to oral sucker; posterior testis irreqularly quadrilateral, shallowly concave or shallowly lobed, usually width slightly larger than length; uterus extending backward to level of transversely middle line of anterior testis; eggs fewer. It differs from A. hypophthelmichthys in acetabulum subequal to oral sucker, esophagus longer, posterior testis shallowly concave or shallowly lobed, uterus extending backward to level of transversely middle line of anterior testis, eggs fewer. This new species is similar to A. opsariichthydis Wang, 1981 in general morphology, but is differs from the latter mainly in cirrus pouch club-shaped, extending backward to between level of posterior border of acetabulum and level of transversely middle line of ovary;vitellaria commencing in pharyngeal or esophageal region.
