In the present paper, a new genus and two new species of Tetrigidae are described from Guangxi Antonomous Region and Jilin Province. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, shaanxi Normal University.
Euparatettixoides gen. nov.
Size small, short and stout. Head exerted; the width of vertex wider than one of the compound eye, with a projecting median carina; frontal costa arcuate produced between the lower margin of the compound eye. Lateral ocelli situated in the middle of the upper margin of the compound eye. The median keel of pronotum distinct, anterior margin straight, and the hind process not extending the apex of hind femora. Posterior margin of lateral lobes with two concavity, the hind angles round. Elytra oval, wings not reaching the top of hind process. Ventral margins of anterior and middle femora straight. Middle femora distinctly wider than elytra, the apical part of middle tibia as the basal part. Hind femora without nodulose in the external side. The forst article of the hind tarsite about 2 times longer than the third one.
Type species: Euparatettixoides guangxiensis sp. nov.
This new genus is allied to Euparatettix Hancock. It differs from the latter by: (1) the width of vertex wider than one of the compound eye; (2) hind process of pronotum not extending the apex of hind femora; (3) middle femora distinctly wider than elytra.
Euparatettixoides guangxiensis sp. nov. (Fig. 1)
Length of body: ♂8 mm; ♀9 mm; Length of pronotum: ♂8.5mm; ♀8.5 mm; Length of hind femur: ♂6 mm; ♂6 mm.
Holotype ♂, Guangxi: Pingguo, 20 June 1992, collected by Li Tianshan. Allotype ♀Guangxi: Mt Damin, 11 Oct. 1990, collected by Li Tianshan.
Tetrix grossovalvus sp. nov. (Fig. 2)
This new species is allied to T. subulata (L.) and T. bolivari Saulcy. It differs from both by: (1) the tip of upper and lower valvus of ovipositor without hooks, external margin smooth; (2) length of hind femur larger than its width about 3.5 times. It differs from the former by the frontal costa and vertex forming an obtuse angular. It differs from the latter by the width of vertex larger than one of the compoued eye about 1.5 times.
Length of body: ♀11 mm; Length of pronotum: ♀13mm; Length of hind femur: ♀7 mm.
Holotype ♀, Jilin: Fengman. 19 July 1990, collected by Zheng Zhemin.
