Preliminary Study on Hypolipidemic Efficacy of Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague Extracts

High fat diets induced dyslipidemia rat model was used to study the effect of Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague extracts .These extracts could regulate rat blood fat in different degrees, especially EE65-M, which could significantly reduce serum TC, TG, LDL-C and increase HDL-C (P<0.01). WE, EE65-L and EE65-M could prevent dyslipidemia rat model from atherosclerosis (P<0.01). Additionally,  these extracts could significantly reduce Lee’S index and fat index, and provide different degrees of improvement and protection on kidney and spleen. The results of system preliminary test showed that there were mainly flavonoids, phenols, organic acids, coumarins, terpenoids, steroids and polysaccharides contained in EE65.
