Abstract:Seasonal estrus breeding was involved to Hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. The seasonal factors could affect the reproductive behavior of hog deer(Axis porcinus). In this study, we have analyzed the dynamic patterns of several hormones in hog deer at different seasons (May, August and October) to reveal the connection between hog deer hormone levels and seasonal factors. Our results indicate that hog deer belongs to short lightening reproduction animal, and the level of T3 and T4 decreases significantly in August compared to that of May and October (p<0.01). The levels of LH, PRL and FSH also significantly lower in August than in May and October (p<0.01).
